: 1st of September, 2005: The future starts today - and it looks promising! :
While Awake is still raving around Europe (now Polish radios are playing it along with the British and German ones!), Verenn is already moving on. Despite all his other obligations, Jussi has been having an inspirational period composing new material, and last weekend the guys gathered to work with some demoes.

Most of the songs for the upcoming album are now decided upon, and it is evident that the material will be by far the best Verenn you have ever heard. Here are some titles for you, as teasers: No Trace No Sound, Glass House, Scapegoats, The Game...

: 4th of August, 2005: Awake reaches hundreds of thousands listeners! :
Awake reaches huge crowds of potential fans through the awesome free ski vid eo Destination Changed, which features Verenn's Awake as its soundtrack. The video has already been downloaded onto nearly 25 000 computers all over the world, but even that is not all: it was selected among the 20 finalists of the international contest Vast Awards! This means that Destination Changed and Awake will be released on a DVD, 300 000 copies of which will be distributed internationally by nine of the biggest skiing magazines in the world!

: 9th of July, 2005: Awake playing in radio Total Rock :
Awake made it to the A-playlist in British rock and metal radio station Total Rock. Cool!

: 8th of July, 2005: Awake playing in Radio YleX :

: 17th of June, 2005: Awake is out now! :
The first official Verenn release, the long waited Awake EP is finally ready to set sails and embark into the world! Check out the cover design and read the lyrics in the Releases section, and of course order a fresh copy for yourself via Matara Music. We will soon add some MP3-samples too.

: 23rd of May, 2005: Verenn signs a contract with Matara Music :
Awake EP will be officially released through a new Finnish indie label Matara Music. The date of publication is 17th of June, 2005. The cover design is just about ready...

And future looks bright for Verenn as well: the preliminary plans with Matara Music promise that the next single and the debut album will be out in the spring 2006. Jussi and Mikko have already written some new material that really kicks ass!

: 24th of April, 2005: AWAKE!!! :
The long winter of waiting and hibernating is over. Welcome to new spring, friends: Verenn has pre-released the sophomore EP Awake! After all the hard work and pondering about to which direction to take the songs, we're really happy about the outcome. It rocks!

The three new songs - Awake, Pilot and Nobody Wins - are available in MP3 format in the releases section, as well as the lyrics for the songs. It would be great to hear your sentiments about the tunes as well, so why don't you sign in the guestbook or send us email!

: 6th of March, 2005: The vocals for the upcoming release have been recorded! :
An active session for Verenn as Mikko spent a few days in Oulu. We made all lead and backing vocals, acoustic guitar tracks and some arrangements for the three new tracks: Awakeawakeawake, Pilot and Nobody Wins. Promising material, we think!
