: 13th of February 07 - The Game -ski video awarded! :
The collaboration of SSC International and Verenn, the outrageous ski video The Game won two categories in "the Oscars of ski movies", Vast Awards. The spy action movie parody, starring Verenn's Mikko as "the Couch Potato", won the first prize in "Most Innovative Approach" and"Best 3rd Layer" categories

What's makes the Best 3rd Layer award special for Verenn is that it refers to the soundtrack as well as post production. So congratulations to us - and the whole Team SSC!

: 6th of July 06 - Another crazy ski video featuring Verenn reaches the Vast Awards final! :
Last year, an extraordinary ski video Destination Changed circulated among the new school ski people of the world, soundtracked by Verenn's Awake. Now, as they said in Twin Peaks, "it's happening again..."!

The screenplay of the new video by SSC Productions was originally inspired by the lyrics of Verenn's debut album, and the video is titled accordingly "The Game". The video features excerpts from three Verenn songs - No Trace, No Sound, Scapegoats and Speedblind - and also presents Mikko starring as "the couch potato"

The Game -video has been nominated as one of the 20 finalists in the world's biggest ski video contest Vast Awards, and thus it will be featured on a DVD that will be distributed internationally. Vast Awards will be awarded at the ISPO fair in Germany in January 2007.

: 5th of June 06 - The Game available digitally for only 5 euros :
Verenn’s recently released debut album The Game is available for download (in MP3 format) for a consumer-friendly price of 5 euros. The digital distribution is carried out by Finnish Record Office (www.recordoffice.net). Heikki Koskela, the managing director of Matara Music, reveals the ideology behind the price
policy:

- Nowadays the illegal downloading and distribution of music is so common and easy that there is no grounds for keeping a high price on a digital album. Matara Music wishes to lower the threshold for the music consumers to choose a legal purchase via the Web, instead of illegal peer-to-peer networking, for example. At the same time this offers a possibility to “test drive” the album when thinking about buying the CD. Those music fans who appreciate good music and artists behind it usually like to buy CD’s as well, as long as the product is good enough. As music consumers ourselves, we believe that prohibitions and restrictions cannot affect people’s habits of using digital music. It is better to offer more choices.

: 31st of March 06 - The Game:
Verenn debut album THE GAME to be released on 19th of May, 2006! New website will be opened in May. Verenn live performances coming up in the summer.

: 7th of March, 2006: Finally, it's ready :
We promised a lot of good news this spring. Here it starts.
The first Verenn album, titled The Game, is now ready. It will be released via Matara Music on the 19th of May.

The album features ten incredible songs, and it was produced, recorded and mixed by Jussi Järvenpää and mastered by Thomas Eberger.

The first single, No Trace, No Sound, will be out on 31st of March. At that date, you will be able to listen to the song here on Verenn's website, which will be renewd by then.

Verenn also announces that Jaakko has decided to withdraw from the band. No drama there!

After the album release, Verenn will hit the live venues. At the moment they are training with rock solid musicians who will form the live band.

There is also a music video for No Trace, No Sound coming up. And what else? A lot more, stay tuned. Let the games begin.

: 1st of January, 2006: Destination Changed won! :
Crazy free ski video Destination Changed, with Verenn's Awake as the soundtrack, won the world's biggest ski video contest Vast Awards. Awesome! The awards were presented in Munich last Sunday.

And even more good news: Verenn's debut album The Game is soon to be finished. Everything has gone even better than anticipated, and we believe the result won't disappoint the listeners. Lots of news coming up this
